Aces? No thanks.

Some people think poker is an easy game. Other people think it's all down to luck. A lot of people think pocket Aces are unbeatable. I'd like to prove otherwise....

Allin pre-flop #1

Allin pre-flop #2

Allin on flop #1

Surprisingly, after I finished this morning I was down about 3 buyins. I've been playing a very aggressive loose style(23/18) these last 2 days, and it's been helping me get lots action on my big hands. Unfortunately, bad beats have been denying me my just rewards when I do actually have a hand.

For those who want to know what it's like going pro, it involves losing sessions. Yesterday it was someone hitting a 1-outer. Today it's a lot of someones hitting 2-outers. That's how it goes. I can handle it though, and for the moment it's still good fun...

Which do you find most damaging to your mental state at the tables: stacking off with your AA vs. an opponent's TT or getting stacked by being outplayed and outsmarted by your opponent?

At least with the former you earn yourself some Sklansky Bucks to help pad your damaged bankroll, right?

Klopzi, not sure really. Allin pf AA vs TT and losing I wouldn't call stacking off, and I don't often get caught out by a set from a solid opponent anymore (though I certainly used to!).

Think the most annoying thing happening is always making the right read (ie opponent betting a draw/weak hand) but failing to be rewarded when they suck out.

Can't think of anything more vexing than that.....

Jackie, thanks man, don't worry it's water off a ducks back; a duck that is now a little bit richer!
