"As long as people will accept crap, it will be financially profitable to dispense it."
-Dick Cavett

I just awoke from the nicest nap. What made it really special was it was had after going to China Boulevard for lunch and stuffing my face with some of the nicest dimsum you can find in South London. My girlfriend is British Chinese which means she has an ability to order lots of great food but an inability to eat very much of it (she is appropriately petite), so everytime we eat out I get to have TONNES of great food. It's a tough situation obviously, but I get by as best I can manage! ;-)
I really like the above quote, and it's inherent truth is visible nearly everywhere you see people handing over money. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that far more than 50% of products and services are sub-par, but the surprising thing is that more often than not, people pay for them time and again. Like corner shops where it costs £2 or more for a loaf of bread, but people make a habit of shopping there simply because it's 5 minutes closer than a supermarket. Had no idea who Dick Cavett was, but just read a bit about him on wikipedia here. Sounds like a smart cookie to me.
Not done much poker today as Faye has this week off and wanted to spend today just chilling with me, so won't get into it right now, played a few hands this morning and probably due to good fortune haven't had a bad day this year (3 in a row- woot!). Still planning a refurb of the blog, and seem to recall intentions of writing some kind of guide for aspiring pros, so will get on with both over the coming days/weeks. In the meantime here's a funny clip for people who enjoy hardcore Christians being mocked by dubbing drum and bass over their otherwise 'normal' behaviour. I fracking love it! Hope life is good, again sorry it's been so long. Take it easy...
